Founded by BA(Hons) Glass student, Sheryl Vaughan in 2015, SV Glass is a small independent business that creates intriguing and original contemporary art glass.

'I am a designer with a vivid and furtive imagination.  I have the ability to visualise a new idea from nearly everything I see or touch.  I love experimentation of a product - to push the boundaries of design.  I always turn a negative into a positive and my objective is to carry on designing and making with no intention of retiring.'

Lost wax casting is an incredible way to produce glass.  You can take practically any object you desire, make a mould, cast it in wax and then cast a glass form from the wax.  Sounds so easy doesn't it?  Please believe me when I say that this is a long and lengthy process, made up of a procession of puzzles and conundrums, and fraught with possible disappointments along the way.

But when you get it right, when you break open that mould and the glass has flowed as you wanted it to - oh the joy!
